"We designed this so that nobody has to choose between eating and sitting an exam," the Office of Student Finance note says. "If the process itself is confusing, that is our failure, and the desk will walk you through it."

What sponsorship covers is stated plainly: formal examination fees for the program, and certain re-submission fees where there are mitigating circumstances. What it does not automatically cover — optional on-campus study, express document services — is also listed.

Daniel Okonkwo, a hospital administrator in Nairobi, applied for sponsorship after a late shift using the portal form. "It took ten minutes," he said. "The reply came before my first assignment was due."

The sponsorship form is on the student portal under fees. Applicants who want to understand the position before they apply can ask at any open webinar or email the Office of Student Finance directly.

Staff across admissions, registry, teaching and student services are told to design every process as if the default student is studying after a full day's work: recorded sessions, published rubrics, named advisers, and a library desk that does not close at the end of one country's office hours.
