1. Service description

mltio provides blockchain-based timestamping and certification services for digital files. Certificates anchor cryptographic fingerprints on the Bitcoin blockchain and may include OpenTimestamps, RFC 3161, and Sigstore Rekor proofs.

2. Not legal advice

mltio does not provide legal advice. Certificates are cryptographic evidence of existence at a point in time. Consult qualified legal counsel for IP protection strategy.

3. Your content

In hash-only mode, your files never leave your device. In vault mode, encrypted ciphertext is stored — mltio cannot decrypt your files. You retain all rights to your content.

4. Fees

Subscription fees are billed monthly. Bitcoin certifications incur network fees paid to miners, not to mltio. Free proof types (OTS, Rekor, Maximum) are provided at no charge.

5. Limitation of liability

mltio is provided "as is." We are not liable for losses arising from blockchain network issues, key loss, or legal outcomes of certificate use.
