Mltio University Sets Out Exactly What Zero Online Tuition Covers — and What It Does Not
Mltio University charges no tuition for its online degree programs. Because "free" is a word that recruiters and scam pages abuse, the Office of Student Finance has published a precise account of what the zero covers.
Tuition — the cost of teaching, supervision, marking and the award itself — is $0 for every online program, from undergraduate degrees through master's, the MBA, the DBA and the PhD. There is no annual fee, no per-module fee, and no charge that is called something else but functions as tuition.
What remains are examination and administrative charges. These are modest, fixed amounts tied to specific services — sitting a formal examination, certain re-submissions, official transcript production, graduation administration. They are published on the fees page before an applicant submits, and they are shown again at each point of payment. A student never receives a surprise invoice.
Exam sponsorship exists for students who would be blocked by even these charges. Applications are assessed on need, and most online students who apply receive a sponsorship that covers eligible examination fees. Semester or program administrative charges, where they apply, are stated in the offer.
Optional on-campus study in Minneapolis is a different product with a published tuition fee. Choosing it is never required and never implied by an online offer.
"If anyone tells you that Mltio's free tuition is a trial that converts to a fee, or that it is only for certain nationalities, they are not us," the Office of Student Finance note says. "The fees page is the single source of truth. Read it, then apply."
Elena Rossi, a museum curator in Milan, put it simply: "I kept waiting for the catch. There is a fees page. It is short. That is the catch."
Staff across admissions, registry, teaching and student services are told to design every process as if the default student is studying after a full day's work: recorded sessions, published rubrics, named advisers, and a library desk that does not close at the end of one country's office hours. Mltio will not pretend a program is light. Applicants should plan their weekly hours before accepting an offer and ask direct questions at the open webinars if a page reads as vague.
Mltio University is an American university with two honest pathways. Founded in 1913, it publishes news that is operational rather than ceremonial: what changed in a program, who can apply, how assessment works, and how global students get help. Optional on-campus study in Minneapolis sits alongside fully online pathways. Questions about the claims in this article should go to the office named as author above.
